_Neon Trees

Who are Neon Trees?

Neon Trees is a rock band, from Provo, Utah, with origins in Temecula, California. Formed initially by neighbors Tyler Glenn (vocals, keyboards) and Chris Allen (guitar), the band made its first home in Provo, eventually adding Branden Campbell (bass guitar, vocals) and Elaine Bradley (drums, percussion, vocals) to the lineup. David Charles also plays with the band as touring keyboardist & guitarist.
Although a well known band in Provo, the band didn't receive nationwide exposure until late 2008 when they were chosen as openers for several of The Killers' North American tour dates. Not long after, the band was signed by major record label Mercury Records and released their first full length album, Habits, in 2010.Their first single "Animal" has climbed to #13 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the Alternative Rock Chart. All four members of Neon Trees are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

_London: Are you looking for HAPPINESS?

Are you looking for Happiness?
Are you looking for something better?
Do you ever feel emptiness?
Are you scared it’s gonna last forever?

I don’t want your Happiness.
I don’t need your Happiness.
So never show me Happiness.

I hope you find Happiness.

We don’t need your cheap salvation.
We don’t want your sympathy.
We don’t need your cheap salvation.
Over and over again.

_Whoa Is Me

I feel like a Hollywood star
Hand full of bills, all black cars
Rock guitar and 10 shots of whiskey
Got the chain on my neck and a massive hickey

I put on the light, I shine, I glow
Whoa is me, I’m so whoa

I’m surrounded by people, I’m cool
Everyone’s so see-through, not you
I know you think I don’t hustle, I do
Used to get up for the bus now I fly do
Drive by you, I’ll buy you
Alright, then I’ll bite your style
I try to act like a child

_La Roux

La Roux are an English electropop and synthpop duo made up of singer, keyboardist, co-writer and co-producer Eleanor Kate Jackson (born 12 March 1988),and keyboardist, co-writer and co-producer Ben Langmaid. Jackson describes their relationship as "very much a half and half sharing situation... not like a singer producer outfit", but also recognises that due to her prominence, it may "look like a solo act".
Their music is influenced by 1980s British synthpop including Yazoo, Erasure, Depeche Mode OMD, The Human League, Heaven 17 and Blancmange.
The band's name refers to Jackson's red hair and tomboyish appearance, mingling the masculine (le roux) and feminine (la rousse) French terms;
she has said:
"To me, it means "red-haired one" – and it does, vaguely. It's just a male version of "red-haired one", which I think is even cooler, because I'm... well... androgynous anyway. So it kind of makes sense."

_Alors on danse

Does it happen to you to get up in the morning and want to go back in time?
Oh yeah, I want to return to this summer! When after months of unbridled study, travel around Europe, work commitments, we decided to take a break from everything and refuge undisturbed in a small town in Liguria.
Our program?
We got up at lunchtime, slipped into bikini, fled to the beach and swim till 5pm, then it was time for an ice cream! Happy hour: could not miss a drink in the bar of the town square.
We can never forget their mojito! :D
Then we came home, shower, dinner and still out on the streets of this small paradise.
What could we expect more?
So for 9 days we took care of ourselves, no parties, dancing, but really enjoying everything Lerici offered.
Of course, once back home we were more stressed than before, but that trip is a really good memory.

And here is the soundtrack of our summer!

To be continued...
